aswaaq receives the Dubai Quality Award and Dubai Service Excellence Scheme Award

Dubai, UAE, May 4, 2017:  Leading supermarket and community malls brand, aswaaq, has received two prestigious accolades from the Dubai Economic Department (DED). aswaaq has achieved the “Dubai Quality Award” and the “Best Performing Brand” in Dubai Service Excellence Scheme for 2016 cycle-Supermarket and Hypermarket Business category. The DQA award has been given by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum - Deputy Ruler of Dubai and First Deputy Chairman of Dubai Executive Council during a ceremony which took place on 3rd May 2017 at the World Trade Center Dubai.
The two latest awards received by aswaaq are testament to the ongoing vision to become benchmarked as a world-class retailer in the region by the ongoing pursuit of excellence as part of its 2021 Strategy; to delivering excellent services, high quality products and providing the customers with admirable shopping experience into the heart of every community it serves. As a home-grown brand, aswaaq adopts best international practices across all levels of the business, and recognized one of UAE most trusted retailers.
Launched in 1994, The Dubai Quality Award is based upon the Excellence Model used by the European Foundation for Quality Management, with nine criteria focusing on all aspects of business operations, it acts as a framework for organizational excellence. Within the same framework of organizational excellence, The Dubai Service Excellence Scheme is an ongoing initiative to raise customer service standards in Dubai-based retailers. Launched by DED in 2002, it is a stamp of excellence for brands, and aswaaq have proven the quality of its operation and businesses through winning this prestigious award in the first year of enrollment at the program.

The Dubai Quality Award and ‘Best Brand’ Award are the latest in a series of accolades given to the aswaaq. Earlier this year, aswaaq also received the Gulf Customer Award and MEA Award for ‘Best Online Shopping Experience in addition to being voted as a superbrand for four years in a row. aswaaq has also received the Dubai Quality Appreciation Award 2013, and ISO 9000, 14000, OHSAS 18001 and HACCP certificates.
